The design of this outdoor bench is a brilliant inspiration to make do with what is already on site rather than shop outdoor furniture ... be it from great and desirable brands.

You can find it at a conceptual art shop in Holland [vividvormgeving]  for the recession price  of ... €7950!

ECO NOTE

Given that buying it off the shelf  means you need to add transportation, I guess you can so easily make one to your own taste and let your creativity define how to design the back rests: recycled chairs? ad hoc bronze designs???

If things keep going down hill it seems having a little summer lunch at a lovely restaurant/cafe will be kind of  a wildly extravagant luxury!

The good news is we can enjoy the fabulous  FREE parks !!! Love this clever design : the cloth wraps around the tree. Friends wine and a picnic: that is the best news!

Hope the year has kicked off well for you!

If you browse the web you may notice all the resolutions we are encouraged to take.

In a nutshell, be it to be Eco 'Logical' or penny wise , it seems buying less, swaping more, building from available materials etc are  the buzz for this new year.

I am not in love with the design but found the following great to kick start the year on trend. Up to you to adapt-re / design and make it ultra chic.

I saw yesterday a program by the extra ordinary Yann Arthus Bertrand  ,the  renowned and internationally recognised French photographer.  His new venture is now not just to show the beauty of the world but to help save it. Yesterday's show was about trees.

Via a hidden camera test in Cameroun, he highlighted the fact that even wood certified to be eco could be bad in reality: corrupt officials get paid to give the certificates. He thinks up to 50 + percent of all certified wood is not really what it should be.

Hmmm....
