The Luxembourg chair: icon of Parisian spring time

Paul_bertin_photographA place many tourists love in Paris is the Jardin du Luxembourg in the Latin Quarter. I do too as I went to school and university just by it.

And when spring comes, it is the most romantic place in the entire world (well the Parisians think so ;-)!).

The picture on the left was taken by my photographer friend Paul Bertin.

I think he captures what the whole place is about!

The original chairs were very heavy and the originals were changed for a lighter version.
The good news for romantics is that  Le Prince jardinier bought all the remaining originals and restored them. A bit of pure magic saved by an admirable lover of quality.Of course buying the originals has a unique charm (here)  but if you want a broader set, today the chairs are being reedited by Fermob  who have developed a full  range of colors and additional items - tables, drink trolleys....Luxembourgtable20de20jardinchaise20
